Rare Earths

The rare earths (lanthanides), comprising elements 57 (La) to 71 (Lu) plus yttrium and scandium, have found an increasing number of applications over the last 30 years. Non toxic, they are generally added as small additions and impart enhanced properties to a wide range of materials in the glass, ceramics, catalyst, chemical and metallurgical industries.
